Vintage style & grace

Have you been wondering what the mojo girls have been up to over last few days?
Block eight is finished...this is Scarlett and her little friend

A few more of my favorite things....the color red + vintage style & grace, so when block number eight was completed she just had to be named...Scarlett

I have always loved the old vintage style bird cages and have always wanted to including them in a stitchery design but I didn't want Scarlett's friend to be stuck in a cage for the rest of his eternal stitched life. 

I think he is much happier being free as a bird and sitting on a green leafy twig instead - of course where there are birds, there are feathers so they had to be scattered here and there too

Here is a close up shot of Scarlett's faithful feathered fascinator (try saying that three times fast after a glass or two)  It's spring racing time here in Victoria and it appears a little inspiration might have come from fashions on the field...

Now with a name like Scarlett she just HAD to wear buttoned RED shoes with matching RED leggings, and athough she was a tad bit concerned about her knobbly knees in the photo shoot I did tell her MOST people wouldn't notice.

I wonder what to call her little friend?

Oh Miss Scarlet is charming and I'm ashamed to say I did notice her knobby knees before you mentioned them. LOL I have several ideas for a name for her bird but you'll do better. :-)

All the blocks are truly amazing! I can't decide which is my favourite and can't wait to see them all together (would love to be sitting in a corner in your workroom - I promise I won't take up much space, just throw me some crumbs every now and then and a splash of water!)
