Oh my goodness, look at the time - are the cookies, milk and carrots waiting at the door? Thank you to every one who entered their names in the competition the response was amazing I have enjoyed reading your little messages & now it is time to draw the winners so I can hop off to sleep.
This time I decide to abandon the ultra-modern whiz bang random generator for the old 'traditional' way of picking names from a hat salad bowl.
All the names and emails went in to the 'bird's nest' this afternoon & tonight while I sipped on a cup of earl grey tea and glanced out the window, it's nice just to slow down and unwind a little.
I love this photo, it looks like I am sharing a cup of tea with you on Christmas Eve...truth be told, I wouldn't have 180+ cups in the cupboard for you all but a little imagination goes a long way.
Here is the birds nest -
I will email the winners shortly to get your postal details so your prizes can be sent as soon as possible, congratulations and thank you to everyone for posting a message and joining in the Christmas fun.
Congratulations to: Karen, Roselie, Robyn and Sara
Truly Scrumptious complete pattern set: Karen (posted 23/12) Tiny Tote 3 x pattern winners: Roselie B (posted 23/12), Robyn (posted 19/12) & Sara from Canada (posted 21/12)
So it's time for me to hang my stocking and get a little sleep...
Well, after a trip to the dentist tonight I asked him just one simple thing..."Please Doc, be sure I can eat my Christmas dinner"...so now with a half numb face and a lighter purse I am writing to you tonight in the hope that the feeling will come back to my face sooner rather than later.
Seeing as Christmas day is drawing closer I thought I would share a few more things with you. Some of my favorite things to display at Christmas are my Heartwood Creek Santa's they are dotted around the house and are one of the first things I unpack each year, and the last things I put away
Then there's the bundle of fat quarters that stare patiently at me - while I find the time to think about how best to use them. You see, these fat quarters are from Paris, the place I dream of going to often - in fact they look so yummy I just can't bear to open them, yet. They are special and so they wait patiently for the perfect project....
All our presents are all wrapped up and under the Christmas tree, each with their special tag tied with red polka dot ribbons...
But wait...with all the excitement over the release of Truly Scrumptious I have forgotten to tell you about the release of Tiny Tote so I can't let either of them slip by without declaring it Christmas Competition Time!
I have one complete set of Truly Scrumptious patterns and three Tiny Tote patterns to give away, all you need to do is leave a comment on this post any time between now and Christmas Eve...
Yes, I have finally finished her...you have no idea how excited I am right now - smiling from ear to ear and doing a happy dance around the studio, clutching the Truly Scrumptious patterns!!!!!!
While you were curled up asleep last night Postman Pat has been express posting and Air mailing pattern parcels to some very eager shops in Australia, New Zealand and U.S.A who are just itching to meet Truly Scrumptious and fill orders. I have just added a new photo album to the left of the site with all 10 chapters of the mojo girls journey, they each have a story to tell - do you have a favorite?
Mojo – mo·jo n. pl. mo·jos or
mo·joes Personal magnetism; charm Scrump·tious -skruhmp-shuhs Very pleasing esp. to
the senses ; delectable; splendid
I have yet to introduce you to Elisabeth...yes!! there are 10 mojo girls that make up the Truly Scrumptious quilt - Elisabeth likes to day dream and appears to like vintage buttons and feathers. Next time I will show you a few photos of her progress but for now I need to get a bit of order back into our home, make a huge cup of tea and spend some time wrapping Christmas gifts.
A humongous big thank you to the Cinderberry Stick'n'Stuff team for keeping me on track these last few weeks....yes, I will renew your contract for 2008 Terms: unlimited coffee and your choice of chocolate, biscuits, cake, ice cream, lolly bananas and/or jelly beans.
So now it's time for you to start your own Truly Scruptious journey - I have loved watching my mojo girls come to life, in fact I think their smiles are infectious
Christmas time is my favorite time of the year - a chance to unwrap those delicate decorations and trim the tree until it's just right...burn cinnamon candles...place Christmas bits and pieces from one end of the house to the other just to make it magical just for a short while.
It's a tradition in our home to decorate the tree on the 1st December each year, so out come those boxes hidden for the last 12 months just waiting to see the light of day for another year. Here are just a few of my most favorite decorations to trim our tree...
This is Bliss, Candy, Eggnog and Carol
Teeheehee nooooo, I really don't name all my decorations but I thought you would see the funny side, Christmas Carol......
I think they are most pleased to be unwrapped just to stretch their legs for a short while.
Sadly, these girls are so fragile you only have to look at them and they break, lucky for me there is a handy man in the house who is an expert with super glue!
It's time now for me to light the cinnamon candles and nibble on a candy cane...now where is that eggnog? Nat x
I thought I better let you in on some exciting news, Truly Scrumptious and Tiny Tote are in the final stages of pattern construction...which means they will both be released very soon. The patterns are taking some time to create but they have to be just perfect so when you open them for the first time you will be inspired to begin your own stitching journey.
I received a wonderful email last week from Lilo - the magazine editor for Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims on The Quilt Show interactive video/web
magazine wanting to write a feature about Cinderberry Stitches, I have been inspired for many years by Ricky Tims quilts and approach he has with the use of color so it was a pleasure to be involved.
The article features the Ginger & Spice tote bag below which was made using the large Clover yo-yo maker....word of warning though - these yo-yo's are so quick and easy to make they become a little addictive once you get started!
If you are wondering what the new Tiny Tote looks like here is a peek, this is definitely my favorite bag right now...it stands a mere 4in high and is only 5in wide - ohhhhhh so sweet!! Tiny is made using the small Clover yo-yo maker.
I like to call her my overnight bag.....I travel lightly...
If you have visited the Cinderberry Stitches web site recently you may have noticed you are now directed to my blog site....you have not pressed the wrong button! Cinderberry Stitches has evolved and it has now come a time where I have decided to concentrate solely on more designing and wholesale distribution.
I am certain my blog life will keep you all entertained and inspired by viewing work in progress and provide a mini port hole into my slightly crazy & creative world. So now I am back to finishing off pattern writing and fitting in a little Christmas decorating here and there (a little more here than there!).....December really is the best time of year - so stay tuned for the pattern releases and new Truly Scrumptious competition soon to be announced!
