I got a pleasant surprise today when I went to the mail box - don't you just love parcels. When I saw the envelope there was no chance of getting home first before ripping it open...ahhhh Homespun issue Vol.10 No.7
This months issue features my Breast of Friends block
This block is a combination of stitchery and needle turn applique, with sweet girls holding a bunch of balloons - could they be doing a little dance?
I stitched this block many months ago when I was pregnant with Isabelle. I remember stitching the needleturn applique over my big belly and feeling a nudge here and there while dreaming of our new life as 3...sweet memories I will always cherish
If you are stitching the Breast Friends blocks I am sure you will be pleased there is another to add to your collection, but did you hear about the online forum?
Here is the link - for some girly chat
This week I have been sewing more bits on the machine and working on hand stitching in the evenings, this is one of my favorite designs and I am looking forward to revealing it to you all soon...I think it's enchanting
There's a little bit of single strand blanket stitch, satin stitch and backstitch...but, I wonder what else?
Till then
Natalie X

Oh my gosh.....your stitching is just making me soooo envious! I aspire to be that good one day. Congrat's at the design in Homespun.
Hugs

I also love your block.I received my mag in the mail yestaerday and couldn't wait to rip open the plastic cover to have a good look.I was a bit like Vicki and had started to loose interest in doing the blocks but after seeing yours I can't wait to get back into finishing the others so I can start working on your block.Come visit us on the Homespun craft forum,we'd love to hear your thoughts on our blocks and what you're currently working on :) Barb.

I just blogged about Homespun today, I was pleased to see your name on the front cover when I bought it - such a great magazine!
I'm having our new baby on Monday and am saving the mag. for the hospital stay, its pure agony to have it sitting there waiting!

I sort of lost interest in the Breast of Friends blocks but when I opened up Homespun and looked at your block I got all inspired again. It is just the best!! I love it and am looking forward to sewing it. I also look forward to seeing your new design you are doing. I go to the Homespun forum and enjoy chatting in there to others who are doing the BofF BOMs :)

Beautiful and congratulations. I'll look for a copy...DH will roll his eyes...since we are packing up our house and we vowed not to buy anything else that will have to be "packed...."

Oooh...I LOVE that block. Unfortunately for me, being in the US I don't have access to the patterns so I can only ooh and aah over them.
I would love if you'd visit my blog and see how nicely my Truly Scrumptious blocks are coming along....

So lovely! I have been following the Breast of Friends blocks online, but I am also in the U.S., and that mag is tricky to get here. I just may have to place another order at Stonehouse Publications!
