Well, I think I am ready? My suitcase is packed and the samples are ready to go for this weekend retreat, I do hope you are coming - it is going to be lots of fun, talking, laughing, sewing, talking. My plane flies out tomorrow lunchtime so I have a few more things to get organised in the morning, and even though I have become the queen of lists this week I am sure to have forgotten something.
What I am really wondering is how I will sleep without my nightly cuddle and smoochy toddler kisses. I decided to stock up on them these last few days, believe my when I say it is pure bliss. Occasionally sloppy, but pure bliss.
The good news before I head up north is another pattern is ready to hit the stores, this time it is "My Market Baguette" which was featured in a previous issue of Homespun last year. I *heart* this bag big time, and have my eyes on it for my next new nappy bag. I am sure I can squish lots of things into this big bag and it still won't burst at the seams.
The handles if you are wondering are 53cm (20.5 inches) red leather ones from Studio Mio, they add a little twist of flare which makes me grin like a kid in a lolly shop.
I hope you love them too.
So that got me thinking....new pattern, new competition with a twist of red flare!
If you would like to win a copy of My Market Baguette pattern complete with red handles just leave me a message on this posting and I will draw ONE lucky winner next week March 11, 2010.
So are you feeling lucky today?
(NB. red handles included in this prize are 65cm red vinyl ones, yes - they are still drool worthy)
Will chat again soon on my return,
Till then
Natalie x
NB. Thankyou! the competition is now closed - please check here for the winners names.

I can't believe how much of this I just wasn't aware of. Thank you for bringing more information to this topic for me. I'm truly grateful and really impressed.

Hi Natalie
Thank you for teaching at the retreat this weekend, I love all your creations and the market baguette is a favorite. I have seen your patterns in the past and not taken much notice, but to see the articles in real life, have now got me hooked.
Thank you again for teaching at the retreat in Adelaide, I hope you will return next year, as I plan to stay the 2 full days in 2011...

I love your bag. It wouldn't be complete without the lovely embroidery. In a world that is getting so "automated" with embroidery machines we need more of your designs for hand embroidery. Keep them coming.

Love it, love it, love it. You are so talented. Sigh. The inspiration of your website to me is just wonderful. Love, love, love your designs. I would be truly blessed to win such a gorgeous prize. One day I hope to go to a quilt retreat. I am just a beginner but well and truly hooked especially on bags. Would love to try my hand at your gorgeous creation. I don't own a sewing machine and have no wish at present to own one as I love, love to sew by hand. So calming and so much satisfaction of seeing the neat little stitches. Fingers crossed I get lucky with your adorable prize on offer. Thanks for being such a wonderful inspiration.

Despite flood, storm and tempest at home this weekend and also the fact that I walked into my office this morning and went ankle deep in water, when I finally sat down at my computer this morning there you were to brighten my day. Only fellow stitchers will know how good it is to immerse yourself in our world even if it is for just a little while.

Hi Natalie, Thanks for sharing lunch at our table on Sunday and being such pleasant company. We are really happy you made it to the weekend at Highfields near Toowoomba. Love the red handles on the bag - they really pick up the fabric red. You shouldn't tease with that polka dot teaset box hiding in the background.

Hey Natlie! Oh ... I would have LOVED to come and play on the weekend, since you were at my home-away-from-home, but my budget squealed so loud that I had to forgo the fun. Hope you had a lovely time despite the rain ... which we locals have been praying for for YEARS! Hmmm ... perhaps you need to visit us more often to bring the rain with you! :0) Love your bag design and LOVE the red handles! A gal just feels like she can take on the world when she's carrying or wearing a bit or red! :0) Bear hugs! KRIS
