After last weeks little peek at the Bella Babushka photo shoot I thought it was time to share the new pattern with you. The pattern is on it's way to Creative Abundance as I write to you tonight so you will start seeing the patterns in store probably early next week (or maybe even sooner)
The inspiration behind the quilt was to design a single bed quilt for my little one, and finally she will have her very own 'Mummy made it' big girls quilt. Even before the binding was on Isabelle managed to curl herslf up in it and play peek-a-boo.
So here is the cover to look for in your local quilt store.
I used a collection of fat quaters (nineteen in total) to make the quilt top and a variety of fabrics and prints give the quilt great balance and depth. It is no secret, I am smitten by the fabric range....it's Rosalie Quinlan's Sweet Broderie line by Lecien.
Once again Melinda from Around the Block Quilting has done an amazing job, I love it. In fact I could have squealed when I saw her for the 1st time.
Ok, the bed (below) used in the photo shoot is a double.
It's so hard to get perfect lighting inside, but the sun streaming through the window was divine and I couldn't help myself - I felt like curling up and staying here for the afternoon, and almost did ;)
The outside shots won on the day and these six little babushkas are very happy girls, and ever so slightly cheeky - but I love that the most.
So keep an eye out, they will be waiting for you.
