Have you seen the latest issue of Leanne Beasley's Vignette magazine? Among the pages you will find the Cinderberry Stitches studio and a girl I kind of know looking back at you. Let me tell you it was amazing to have both Leanne and Melinda come to visit my home studio - you know you are among great friends when you only stop talking to take a breath and eat.
Hey...that's me!
Among many things I showed the girls were my original strike off fabrics from Woodland - yes, those colors that never did make it to the final collection you see in stores today. Can you believe there were 50 options before I had to get tough and cut it down to the final 32. Trust me - it's a difficult decision to make when the time arrives, choosing what stays and goes....like choosing the best kids to keep. Maybe I need to devote a post to 'those cotton souls that didn't get a selvage' someday.
(image taken by Leanne....yes, it's a tease - some of the fabrics that didn't make it.)
For those who have visited my hometown Geelong, I took the girls to my favorite local store Lily Pond - it's an enchanting emporium of all things French. I'll be honest, we could have stayed there all day with French music playing in the background and the most amazing products & accessories to discover - love that place.
So that's the background of Vignette's visit to Cinderberryville, it was fun, went too fast and was full of inspiration. Among the pages of Issue 7 you will also find a gorgeous quilt Leanne made & Melinda quilted using a fat quater pack of Woodland, it's called 'Sweet Dreams' & perfect to snuggle under - so grab a copy of the magazine and a pack of Woodland and start stitching away.
........and if you have yet to grab your own bundle of fabric then keep reading.
To celebrate the studio feature & visit in Vignette I have one bundle of 32 fat quarters from my Woodland line straight from the Cinderberry studio (yes, that's the complete collection folks) AND a copy of Leanne's Vignette - Issue 7 to giveaway.
If you are the lucky winner you can put your feet up and read Vignette while hugging your new fabric or just hug them both. You only have one week to enter the competition by leaving a comment on this blog post & I will choose one winner at random on the 29th June 2012.
So what are you waiting for? go pop your name in the draw!
Natalie x
Find Cinderberry Stitches on facebook & see what keeps me busy.

I do believe all of the ideas you've introduced for your post. They are very convincing and will definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are too short for newbies. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.

Being a Viking I must pretend not be too much in love with your Woodland fabric. But in fact, your designs is one of the reasons that I am seriously considering making the long journey from Sweden to Australia to stock up on quilting fabric. Don't worry - there will be no pillaging or burning when Swedes go abroad in these days!

I would love to enjoy the latest Vignette and ALL of those fabulous FQs. I may roll around on them in glee if I won (and then carefully press them and admire them while I decide how best to use them)

I don't envy your having to make such a decision... when you have so many pretty colors and fun prints... well, at least you get the strike offs? I'm assuming that means you get to see what they look like made up b/4 you have to decide. Like Shirley Temple used to say when she had to make a decision in her movies....
"Wor-ry, wor-ry, wor-ry". I'm sure you made the right choices... Maybe next time you can use the other colors?
