This lovely bundle arrived on my door step a few weeks ago, pretty isn't it?
I am sure you have guessed, it's the new Flower Sugar fabric due to arrive in stores around August. The prints are bright and beautiful - and don't even get me started on the gingham.......it's gobsmakingly gorgeous.
I decided to use some of these gorgeous cottons to make something for fun, for a girl who likes swirly skirts, flowers and the colour pink. It also gave me the perfect opportunity to play with my new machine, the Bernina 800DL (overlocker).
The photo below was snapped with Instagram after a grand evening of sewing (true colour of fabric is in the image above) - I used a fabulous pattern called 'Amanda's triple ruffle skirt' from Create Kids Couture, it won't be the last time I whip one of these up......love love, love!
If you are looking for a simple skirt pattern, believe me - it's awesome, the only problem I have is which Flower Sugar fabric combination to use next.
Oh....I would take a photo of Isabelle wearing but she just won't stop twirling - such is life for a 4 year old!
